Special TLC for our patients:
For adults the new patient visit is broken into different appointments. At the first appointment we get to know you by starting with your patient information questionnaire. Your mouth reflects your total health, so your health history is essential in helping us provide safe and appropriate treatment. We gather diagnostic information by taking appropriate radiographs (x-rays) of the teeth and supporting structures of the mouth. A comprehensive clinical exam of hard (teeth and bones) and soft tissue is conducted by the dentist. We also use magnification glasses and intra oral cameras so you can see what we see. This comprehensive exam includes an oral cancer exam and a thorough periodontal exam. The oral cancer screening adjunct evaluation with the Vizilite Plus sytem is also available in our office (www.Vizilite.com) This clinical examination determines the health status of your entire mouth including smile, teeth, gums and soft tissue. The information is recorded on special charts. At follow up appointments the diagnostic information is reviewed and recommended treatment discussed and explained. Cosmetic concerns are also discussed and options reviewed. The primary goal is prevention, so treatment recommendations are directed for both control and prevention of dental disease. We review your care of teeth and gums and answer questions you may have on techniques or devices. If the periodontal health is good, a hygienist may also perform a prophylaxis at a follow up visit. Children (under 12) are provided treatment and prevention which is age appropriate. This includes an examination, prophylaxis, fluoride treaments, and radiographs (xrays) and sports guards as needed. Coordination with an orthodonitist is accomplished when indicated. We will give you a written recommendation and fee estimate for any necessary or recommended treatment. |

Cosmetic, Implant and Family Dentistry: We recognize that everyone is different. In our office it is not just a cleaning and check up. These differences and needs are taken into consideration in our diagnosis and treatment recommendations for the each individual. In order to accomplish this, our new patients are given a comprehensive and diagnostic examination on the first visit to help establish your dental health goals. Our office is skilled in providing a wide range of dental care. All our dental services are carried out with state of the art equipment, such as ultrasonic scalers, sterilizing autoclaves, intraoral cameras (we can put your smile on a TV screen), fiberoptic lights, and optical magnification. which includes Implant treatment includes a wide
range of Conservative periodontal treatment from simple prophylaxis to periodontal scaling and root planning treatment is done when indicated. Ultrasonic and prophy jet equipment is used. New non-injectable anesthetics are available to insure greater comfort. The relationship of periodontal health to general health is established. Continuing care visits contribute to successful maintenance of your smile and oral health. A schedule suited to your specific needs will be planned at your visits and notification by the office will be made at the appropriate times. Preventative services such as fluorides, sealants, desensitizing agents, and special oral hygiene techniques are offered. Sports guards, mouth protectors and devices for grinding and clenching teeth can be fabricated when indicated. 
Emergency treatment is available by calling the office number. Problems will be accommodated as promptly as possible. If an emergency occurs outside routine office hours, you may call the office phone number to hear a message which will direct you to Dr. Rye or alternative emergency care.
